Past Tense:
اردو میں پہچان:
اُردو کے ایسے فقرے جن کے آخر میں ا ، ی، ے “یا” ا تھا ، ی تھی ، ے تھے وغیرہ آۓ تو وہ فقرے فعل ماضی مطلق کے ہوتے ہیں۔
مثلاً
وہ سکول گیا۔
لوگوں نے چور پکڑا۔
Positive /simple/ affirmative sentences :
مثبت/ سادہ جملے:
سادہ جملوں میں کوٸ امدادی فعل استعمال نہیں ہوتا۔
اور فعل کی دوسری فارم استعمال ہوتی ہے۔

ثوبیہ نے پھول توڑا۔
Sobia plucked the flower.
لڑکوں نے شور مچایا ۔

Past Continuous Tense :
اردو میں پہچان:
اُردو کے ایسے فقرے جن کے آخر میں رہا تھا ، رہی تھی ، رہے تھے ، وغیرہ آۓ تو ایسے فقرے فعل ماضی جاری کے ہوتے ہیں۔
مثلاً
وہ کھا رہا تھا۔
ہم ورزش کر رہے تھے۔

اُردو کے ایسے فقرے جن کے آخر میں چکا تھا،چکی تھی،چکے تھے وغیرہ آۓتو وہ فقرے فعل ماضی مکمل کے ہوتے ہیں۔
مثلاً
میں سو چکا تھا۔
جاوید ناشتہ کر چکا تھا۔
ہم دریا عبور کر چکے تھے۔

اردو فقرے کی پہچان :
اُردو کے ایسے فقرے جن کے آخر میں تا رہا تھا،تی رہی تھی،تےرہے تھے ” یا” رہا تھا، رہی تھی ، رہے تھے وغیرہ آۓاور ان فقروں میں وقت کا ذکر بھی کیا گیا ہو تو وہ فقرے فعل ماضی مکمل جاری کے ہوتے ہیں۔
مثلاً
میں دو گھنٹے سے کھیل رہا تھا۔
وہ مچھلیاں پکڑتا رہا تھا۔
